ICE ships with an installer package. The standard installer, as can be found on the CD, includes already some of the software prerequisites (e.g. NET framework). It will automatically install these prerequisites when you run the installer.

If you want to communicate with instruments, you should install a VISA runtime yourself (NI VISA, Agilent IO Libraries, ...). You can do this prior or after the ICE installation. Please consult the license agreement of this runtime before installation. Typically you will install the one accompanied with your VISA hardware (e.g. GPIB controller). That's the reason why we cannot do this installation automatically for you, because we don't know what you are licensed for, to install on your PC.

The current ICE version supports 64-bit OS. Please make sure to run the x64 installer, instead of the x86, to install ICE in 64-bit mode.
